Wow what a busy day we had!   We were up after a short nights sorta - maybe not so much - sleep :(   Everyone was in good spirits as we drove through the beautiful countryside between Munich and Salzburg.   Spring sunshine revealed green fields leading into mountainsides that had spots of snow and craggy mountaintops.

Our first major stop was Mozart's birthplace and home until he was 17.   A nice 4 story house at the base of the mountain with the castle - we could imagine a little bit of his childhood and early memories.  The quaint streets of old town were lined with shops and were enjoyed by most.

We split up for lunch and rejoined as a group at the DOM  - the name of the cathedral where Mozart was baptized and performed.   AnNNNNNNDDDDDD - they let us sing!   There were risers to the left in the front of the sanctuary and YOUR kids were AMAZING!    They sang four songs and soon had a crowd of tourists sitting down and enjoying the concert.   Thunderbird Adventist Academy Chorale singing in such a beautiful place full of history and with outstanding acoustics will be the high point of the trip for many!  Abellimenti patiently waited and wished for bells to show their talent but alas they were not with us :(

The castle on the hill was the next stop with our energetic students making the climb.   Round turrets and beautiful scenery treated us to a new point of view.   soon we had a bell concert from the church tower - beautiful!

Heading back down the students had a bit of time to look around a bit more as we headed back to the bus area and went through the Mirabel gardens were the Sound of Music was filmed. Unfortunately we had a communication snafu and a group of valient students waited at our last meeting point.  When we arrived at the bus we noted their absence and Gary, Joilo, Wesley and Braxton were our heros out looking for the missing sheep.  With poor cell phone reception a call finally came through and we soon were reunited.,   '

Our concert was at the lovely church in Bad Ailing -- were it is on the property of a beautiful Adventist retirement home.   The church was very full for a Friday night and some church ladies provided sandwiches and soup.,  (Gotta love those church ladies)

Your kids did great for a first concert and last minute rushing and no warm ups.  The church members gave them a standing ovation and they performed their first encore!   Soon we were whisked away in our comfy bus by Cari our driver and Peter our guide.      If anyone thinks this is a leisurely vacation I say HA!   TAA kids are moving and helping and performing and taking loooooots of pictures!      I will include a few from our day.,

Tomoorrow we will sing in a church in Munich and eat lunch there.,  In the evening we will head to Bogenhofen for our ADRA fundraiser concert,.   Pray for safe and smooth travels.   Night yall!
