Happy Sabbath from Rome!   We had our final concert of the tour today in the Romanian SDA church.   Mr Purvis was weak and shaky from his sickness - as noted in the pictures yesterday.  No he is not crippled - just weak from this nasty virus floating around and there is a massive amount of walking.

He was praying before the concert and God gave him strength!   A few others were shaky and weak too and were able to perform.   It was difficult in this church to communicate with members as few spoke English and our Romanian was limited too!    The church ladies made a lovely appetizer plate with a half tomato cut like a flower filled with grilled eggplant.   Little slices of bread had various pates and olives and cheese - delightful.  Next we had salad with mushroom lasagna followed by fresh fruit which we thought was dessert - only to be followed with a light white cake with whipped cream and fruit pieces between the layers.   Yummy indeed.

Off we went to see the colosseum.    While vacant it was easy to imagine the sadness of the frenzy for anything exciting that the people accepted.  I know the story of why it stopped - anyone else know?  

Mr. Purvis and Kelsey (who was febrile and shaky) took a bicycle cart ahead of the group to meet them at the Spanish steps.   The rest trooped by the forum, the pantheon and various assorted places.   Kelsey improved with meds and some hot tea :)  

After sunset we went to a square - don't remember the name where someone killed someone with water in a recent novel ?????     We shopped a little and went to eat.   We will miss the good pasta even though some were thinking longingly of enchiladas!!!!!

Its one in the morning here - but guess what - today is daylight savings change day and we will get one hour less sleep!   We will all be up in 4 hours to go to the airport.  I will try and post pictures while we are in the airport or tomorrow morning.  

We leave the hotel by 8 am and should be back to TAA by 8 pm   See you then!
